52 Week Snapshot Challenge, Week 3: Joyful #52Shapshots #PBSG

This week's theme for 52 Snapshots of Life, a weekly photo challenge hosted by The Lazy Pit Bull, is "Joyful".

Our house isn't exactly joyful, it's more like stressful!  I'm just JOKING!!  I'm kidding!!  Here are our furkids expressing their joyfulness.

l-r Cali, Newman, Cooper and Hobie find it JOYFUL to hang out with Mom while she works and sips her morning coffee.

Charlie Brown's favorite joyful activity is treeing Mr. Squirrel in the back yard.  No matter what the weather, he'll locate his friend Mr. Squirrel every morning, chase him up a tree, and holler about it until I go outside and congratulate him.  I think Mr. Squirrel likes the game just as much as Charlie does -- he plays every morning, too!

He's up THERE!

He's down THERE!

A-rooooooo!!  Squirrellllll!

And now, from a different perspective.

Last, but certainly not least, is our somewhat anti-social kitty, Tux.  His passion for joyfulness centers around food, food, and more food.  Secondarily, he likes to sit on the desk while I'm (trying to) work!

No, don't work!  Play with meeeeeee!

  1. Every dog has to be joyful when seeing squirrels...or maybe only frustrated, but there is joyful mixed in for sure!

  2. My crew loves to hang out with me when I'm working too (though they would also like me to take more breaks....).
Our anti-social cat is also only joyful about food, and sleeping. He doesn't even bother me when I'm working! :)

    1. Sometimes I have to hide to get away from Tux if I'm working on something with a deadline!! LOL!

  3. That joyful group photo looks a lot like our house while I am working! Squirrels are smart enough to steer clear of our yard. Rats on the other hand still occasionally think that sleeping under our deck is a good idea. The dogs are always so proud of themselves for alerting me to the rodents and chasing then into the neighbors yard... then barking at the neighbors yard until I make them come inside. :)

    1. Rats?! OMG I'm glad we do not have those. We have squirrels, chipmunks, mice, moles an occasional skunk (eek!) or possum. But no rats!! The cats are good at killing... too good, they get birds sometimes, which is upsetting :( !!

  4. Tux has the right idea but the kitty near the keyboard is close.

    1. I'm surprised she was actually sitting there, she is usually much more shy about sitting on tables and desks :)

  5. I like your co-workers! Looks like Tux is the real boss, keeping it all in perspective.

  6. There is no joy quite like messing with a squirrel's day first thing in the morning. Well done, Charlie Brown! And Tux knows that work can wait. :-)

    1. I swear, that squirrel looks forward to playing with Charlie... it's almost like the squirrel waits for him until I let him outside LOL! Tux knows that all work and no play makes Mommy a dull girl.
