Traveling Dog Lady: Books by Kathy Mandell

Books by Kathy Mandell

Books by Kathy Mandell (aka K.S. Mueller)

Kathy Mandell writes short stories about dogs, cats and other topics. She lives in South Carolina with her husband Brad, dogs Charlie Brown, and Petey, and their cat Tux.

Kathy self-published her memoir, "Dear Hobie: Letters to My Heart Dog" in 2025. Imagine losing your partner and your dog within a month of each other; then losing your job during the pandemic. Now picture moving away, starting over and reinventing yourself. Dear Hobie is more than a memoir, it's a love letter to a beloved dog, a goodbye to an old life, and a hello to a new chapter. Through Kathy Mandell's eyes, experience the emotional journey of loss, grief and recovery. You just may discover how to overcome loss and grief in your own life.

Want to read about my parents love story during World War II? Check out my other books, self-published under my unmarried name, K.S. Mueller. Thanks to my dad who wrote letters to my mom, I got the idea to write letters to my dog!
